It Rains Fishes
Kasma's first cookbook, It Rains Fishes: Legends, Traditions and the Joys of Thai Cooking, won the IACP Award (Julia Child Award) for Best International Cookbook of 1995. A veritable Thai cooking class in a book, complete with delightful stories and watercolors of Thailand. Most recipes comes with notes and pointers that explore creative ways to extend the recipe. A good book for beginners and experts alike. This is more a book about cooking than a "cookbook" per se, although there are numerous excellent recipes. The It Rains Fishes page on this site contains:
