Stewed Pork Leg Served over Rice

Pork Leg

Stewed pork leg

This picture was taken on one of Kasma’s trips to Thailand in the village of Bahn Rak Thai in Mae Hong Son province. The village was settled by Chinese expatriates who now grow tea. Kasma used to take two of her trips up this village for a wonderful Yunnan-style Chinese feast. This delicious, skin-on stewed pork leg is just one of the delicious dishes served. It is eaten with the buns visible to the right.

Kasma taught this recipe in her Advanced class E-2.

The Wednesday Photo is a new picture each week highlighting something of interest in Thailand. Click on the picture to see a larger version.
