Market Vendor: It's appropriate to begin our presentation with this picture of a street vendor, right outside our hotel in Bangkok. It sometimes seems as if Thailand is a gigantic, open-air market, with all the delectable and delicious food that is nearly universally available. The very first morning we walk the market and pick up some treats, such as these chive cakes, to try with our first breakfast in a Thai noodle shop.
