The list was last updated in 2009 so it may be out-of-date.
The information on the first two markets comes from an email from a former student.
"Here's two new ones my wife and I found in Denver. They're both large asian mkts similar to a Ranch 99. We visited both and thought the HK Supermarket, which was smaller, had a better selection of Thai sauces and misc. e.g the healthy boy brand, tamarind, and even fresh water mimosa(?)." – Former Student
Denver
Hong Kong Supermarket open everyday 9am-9pm 1340 S Federal Blvd #B Denver, CO 80219 303-936-0899 |
We . . . thought the HK Supermarket, which was smaller, had a better selection of thai sauces and misc. e.g the healthy baby brand, tamarind, and even fresh Water Mimosa(?). (September, 2004) |
Han Ah Reum Mart 2751 S. Parker Road Denver, CO 303-745-4592 |
The largest Asian market in Aurora, it's an astounding place, with everything from dishes and Japanese electronics to 30 kinds of fresh fish, twice as many types of fruits and vegetables and a staggering array of pan-Asian ingredients. Open 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. Has fresh Galanga, not much thai sauces, has no tamarind :-( more korean and chinese stuff. Nice selection of fresh fruits/vegies. (September, 2004) |
Little Saigon Market 375 South Federal Blvd. Denver, CO 80219 |
They carry a good variety of Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, and other Asian ingredients. I got fresh Galangal root, a bag of Kaffir lime leaves, a bag of thai chilis, and a bundle of fresh lemongrass for just under 5 dollars. (October 2009, email) |
