Kaeng Tai Pla: On menu under Hot & Sour Soup. Described on menu as: "Fish viscera spicy soup with smoked dried fish, chopped shrimp, sweet potato and local vegetables." Kasma calls it Fish Innards Curry (Gkaeng Dtai Bplah). This is a very popular southern dish. I find it to be an acquired taste: it has a very strong taste and is very spicy.
Note: These are all dishes that Kasma orders at Ruen Mai Restaurant in Krabi. The groups eat there for 4 or 5 meals during two of her small-group trips to Thailand, Trip A & Trip C.
