The thing that Kasma enjoys most in the world is most likely gardening. At another time I'll put up some of the pictures of the beautiful garden she has created surrounding our home. In support of this passion, a favorite activity is visiting nurseries, to see what plants are available and to see what plants might fit in her own garden.
One of her very favorite nurseries is Hortus Botanicus in Ft. Bragg, California (north of Mendocino). We usually make a trip up to that area at least once a year and we always visit Hortus Botanicus and usually come away with a back seat or trunk full of various plants. Robert Goleman, who runs Hortus Botanicus, must have a similar plant sense in many regards to Kasma, because she always finds interesting plants to buy.
In addition to a well-kept nursery, full of healthy and well-tended plants, Robert has surrounded the nursery with fabulous gardens that are a joy to walk through. He also seems to have a passion for carnivorous plants because he has a number of them planted here and there and a reasonable number for sale.These pictures were all taken by Kasma and myself when we visited the nursery in May of this year. We invite you to go visit yourselves – it's a wonderful excursion. And if you don't have a trip planned, at least visit Hortus Botanicus online.
